About David

David grew up in Orange County and attended Crafton Hills College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Fire Technology and Public and Protective Services. After receiving a B.A. degree from Cal State Fullerton, David joined Cal Fire where he served as a fire fighter and Company Officer in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. David retired as a Battalion Fire Chief in Riverside County after 32 years of career service.

David moved Yucaipa 23 years ago where he raised his family and where he became an active member of the community. David coached for the Yucaipa Valley Youth Soccer Organization and he was a Boy Scout Troop leader.

He is a current member of Yucaipa’s Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, the Past Pleasures Car Club, and the California Professional Firefighters Association. David’s hobbies include camping and the outdoors and working on his Chevy Chevelle. David has hands on and management experience as a land use planer, Fire Marshal, and contract City Fire Chief and he is an appointed member of the current General Planning Advisory Committee in Yucaipa.
